"Her Journey of Courage and Gratitude" fabric collection was inspired by my beloved mother-in-law, Masako—a gracious woman who welcomed me into her family with open arms and an open heart when I married her son in 2004. She shared her culture with a quiet pride and generous spirit, weaving the beauty of her Japanese heritage into the everyday moments that shaped our family’s life.
This print was one of the very first repeating patterns I made when learning the processes of surface pattern design. It was originally meant to just be a practice piece, but I fell in love with the pattern, and it earned its place in this collection. Available in multiple color ways.
This print is a hand drawn Chinoiserie style design that began as a birthday card for my late MIL who LOVED cherry blossoms. This design quickly evolved into a beautiful pattern that was meant to become a Mother's Day gift - a duvet cover. Sadly, she passed prior to its completion.
This print is a hand drawn Chinoiserie style design that was created using pencil sketch; and was inspired by my late mother-in-law and her love of cherry blossoms.
This print is a handmade design using pencil sketch and gouache; and was inspired by my late mother-in-law who had a persimmon tree in her backyard and served its sweet fruit at nearly every meal.
This print was created to be a complimentary fabric color to the Because She Grew Persimmons design. I used these two prints to make my mother an apron for Mother's Day.
This handmade design was created using gouache brush strokes; and is part of a heartfelt tribute to my late mother-in-law who preferred stripes over plaid. This print is also available in blue and can be found on our latest birthday card design.
